To keep it as broad as possible, what health, economic, etc detriments come with High Fructose Corn Syrup? Any different from cane or beet sugar?

Position on the subject: It's not that corn is necessarily bad, but a high amount of fructose isn't good regardless of its source. Human cells no transport protein for fructose as they do for glucose or other large molecules, so with a high intake of fructose, one gets a buildup of fructose outside of the cells.
